Justin's view of the track: Homestead is another mile and a half oval and it’s probably one of the toughest. Not only is it usually hot and sticky there, which means you lose downforce and grip, it has steep variable banking (18/19/20 degrees in the turns, coming off 3 degrees on the straightaways), so each car width as you go up the track is a degree steeper than the one below. That just means the car reacts differently in each lane and it’s very difficult to race on. Once you get to the race, the lack of downforce and dirty air means it usually becomes a single file race which makes it tough. Last year my car was very loose all race which meant it was fast on its own, but not very good in traffic. We’ll see what we can do this year.
