Stefan is Justin's younger brother and also a racing driver. He began racing karts at the age of nine and competed nationally and internationally for seven years. Then in 2006, aged 17, he graduated to single-seater cars to challenge for the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy. In the six-race series he finished as top rookie and ninth overall.
In 2007 he competed in the full Formula Palmer Audi series and finished second in the championship, scoring four race wins, four pole positions and six fastest laps. Following that success, he was chosen as the winner of the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. In 2008 he raced in the British Formula 3 International Series, taking four wins in the National Class.
