Justin aiming high at Daytona 24 Hours
27-January-2010Justin is looking forward to his third Rolex 24 At Daytona this weekend as he joins many other big names from the world of motorsport at North America’s top endurance event and the first major race of 2010.
The opportunity to team up with three-time GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Cars Series champions Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS), winners of this event in 2006, 2007 and 2008, is one that Justin is relishing. He will share driving duties in the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Dinan-BMW Riley with Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas and Max Papis. Fellow IZOD IndyCar pilots Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti join NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray in the No. 02 Target/TELMEX Dinan-BMW Riley.
"I'm really looking forward to this weekend," said Justin.
“Chip Ganassi Racing is a strong team that knows how to win this race and to drive with Scott, Memo and Max is an honor. The test a few weeks ago went well so I'm feeling pretty confident about our chances."Practice begins at 10 a.m. ET tomorrow, Thursday, with qualifying from 3.45 p.m. and night practice at 6:30 p.m., and there are further practice sessions on Friday. The 48th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona gets underway at 3.30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
SPEED will carry 16 hours of live television coverage of the race, beginning at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday and resuming at 7 a.m. ET Sunday. Fans in the UK can catch coverage of the early and closing stages of the race on Eurosport 2 from 21.00 to 23.00 GMT on Saturday and again from 18.45 to 21.00 GMT on Sunday.
